"I wish I could switch my brain off"

Many young people come to counselling feeling confused, frustrated or exhausted from trying to keep it all together.  They might say “I don’t know what’s wrong” but they know something feels off.

My role is to sit alongside them, not as another adult telling them what to do, but as someone who genuinely gets how tough this stage of life can be.  Together, we explore feelings that may feel messy or tangled, in a space where nothing they say is too much or too silly.

I offer warmth, patience and real understanding to help them find clarity, comfort and a way forward that feels true to them.  I support many neurodivergent children and teens and work in a way that honours their needs, their communication style and their lived experiences.

"Come as you are"

A real counsellor for real women who are struggling with their emotional wellbeing, particularly during menopause.

Life isn't always pretty and women are often holding it all together for everybody but themselves. I call it the "Quietly Falling Apart" club.

Rest here, it's a gentle place to land. Where you'll find space to breathe and find yourself again.

My Approach

Hello, I’m Anna - a Humanistic counsellor who offers a calm, authentic, non judgmental space to talk about whatever you need to bring. You can show up exactly as you are, and I’ll meet you there with warmth and honesty.

One of my passions is supporting women going through midlife changes, particularly menopause, helping them make sense of who they are at this stage of life. This can be a time of big change, with shifting identities, physical symptoms, and immense emotional and mental health challenges - often alongside raising teenage children, which can feel overwhelming for everyone involved.

I also have extensive experience working with children and young people, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN). I understand how family dynamics can be impacted when midlife transitions and teenage milestones collide, and I offer a compassionate, understanding approach to help you navigate both.

In our sessions, we work together to unpack whatever you’re carrying, explore your feelings, and discover ways to cope that feel right for you. I believe you already have what you need to grow and heal - my role is to provide the safe, supportive environment for that to happen and to help you build lasting confidence and coping skills.

Counselling is about creating a genuine connection where you feel valued, accepted, and understood. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, exhausted, unsure of your next steps, or just need someone to talk to, I offer a free 20-minute exploratory call so we can see if working together feels like the right fit.

Don't be afraid to reach out. You can bring the mess, the feelings, the "too much", the silence - all of it is safe here with me. I see you, I hear you and you don't have to be anything but yourself.
